Maestro Monthly

June 2026

Three additions this month I think you'll use every week, plus a long list of smaller improvements.

This month covers the shop floor and the front office: a tablet Punch Clock for the crew, file attachments on invoices and proposals, and a Money overview built for your phone.

Set up a kiosk as a dedicated punch clock

If your shop wants a simple time clock by the door, you can now set up a Kiosk tablet that does exactly one thing: workers enter their PIN and clock in or out of the day. No tasks, no jobs, nothing else on screen. Pair it with the new setting to lock time entries, so a punch is final once it's recorded and only a manager can make corrections. The Kiosk Devices page got a full upgrade too: see the whole crew's PINs in one place, edit them inline, and limit each kiosk to just the people who should use it.

Attach files when you email invoices and proposals

Need to send a drawing or spec sheet along with a proposal? You can now attach extra files when emailing an invoice, proposal, contract, or sign-off sheet, and they're delivered right alongside the PDF. No more sending a second email with the drawings.

Your money, on your phone

A new Money overview built for a phone screen: what you're owed, what came in over the last 30 days, and where your accepted and pending estimates stand. Tap any card to drill into the detail. Check on the business from the truck, not just the office. Like all financial screens in Maestro, this one is visible only to users with CEO permissions.

If any of these would help your shop and you're not sure where to start, just get in touch. Happy to walk you through it.

Also from June

A lot shipped alongside the headline features:

Redesigned search: results from every category (jobs, customers, rooms, materials) now show on one page, with quick filters. No more clicking through tabs one by one.

Up to five workflow boards: Maestro can now run as many as five boards if your workflow needs it, like a dedicated Design board, in whatever tab order fits your flow. Get in touch and I'll set it up for you.

Open Balances report upgrade: new Invoiced and Payments & Credits columns next to each balance, plus totals, a Print button, and CSV export. (CEO permissions only.)

Task progress on boards: an optional setting shows each task's percent complete (hours logged vs. target) right on the workflow board. Turn it on in the board's Customize view menu.

Default task lists carry more: default tasks can now hold a link and attached files, and both come along automatically when the list loads into a job.

Spec sheets on materials: material items can hold a website or spec-sheet link, and it carries onto job materials automatically.

Client Intake Form for everyone: last month's new feature is now on for every shop, no setup needed. Send a prospect the link from any job.

Friendlier team invites: invite emails now read like an invite from you, replies come back to you, and invite links stay good for a full 24 hours.

Plus a few smaller touches: Quick Add Task now returns you to the page you were on, long material descriptions wrap instead of hiding buttons, big job lists and reports load faster, and a stack of fixes for kiosks on Android tablets.

That's June. The material inventory feature I mentioned last month is real: set a low-stock threshold on any item you track, get a warning when you drop below it, and restock with one click through your Needed Materials list. A few shops are testing it now, and it opens to everyone soon.

If something's not working right, or there's something you wish Maestro did, just get in touch. I read every reply.
